PRESS RELEASE -- DIGGER DAWG featured story in the Boston Herald Newspaper - June 26, 2008
DIGGER DAWG was recently featured in the Boston Herald’s entertainment section “The Edge”. The story talked about our recent tour overseas in IRAQ and KUWAIT.

DIGGER DAWG is a proud and featured band with Armed Forces Entertainment, a U.S. Airforce run organization that provides entertainment to the men and women of the armed forces serving overseas.
Since 2004, DIGGER DAWG has been one of the top country bands on the East Coast. The band was formed by keyboard player and singer Joe Scopa - who’s intention was to perform cover songs around the New England area. Never in a million years did Joe think that his simple country music project would develop into such a successful band.
Since 2004 DIGGER DAWG has had some very talented musicians working with the band. Some have moved on to pursue music careers in Nashville and other areas and others still work with Joe and DIGGER DAWG on a regular basis.
Some highlights over the past few years have included opening for some of country music’s biggest artists including:
Alan Jackson, Gretchen Wilson, Reba McEntire, Josh Turner, Tracy Byrd, Montgomery Gentry, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn, LeAnn Rimes, Gary Allan, and others. Most recent, Joe Scopa and some former members of DIGGER DAWG had the opportunity to travel overseas to IRAQ and KUWAIT to perform for U.S. Troops with Armed Forces Entertainment.
